On Day 12 of our road trip across the USA we start to head back east. Here is a time lapse of the very flat drive from Colorado Springs, CO to the Kansas City International Airport area of Kansas City, MO (around 600 miles).
The first part of the trip is on US 24, but the majority is US 70 East.
On Day 13 of our road trip across the USA we did a short drive on I-70 from Kansas City Missouri to St. Louis, MO. We started near the Kansas City International Airport and ended up in downtown St. Louis near the Gateway Arch.
Once when made it downtown, we spent a little while at the playground in Kiener Plaza. Then we visited the Old Courthouse, walked around Busch Stadium, and then went to the top of the Gateway Arch.

3. Vail, CO
4. Downtown Denver, CO
In the evening we wandered around Colorado Springs a bit and ended up at America the Beautiful Park.

Day 7 of our road trip through the southeastern USA took us on the most scenic roads in America from Flagstaff, Arizona to Moab, Utah. Most of the drive was on US Route 160 in Arizona (Navajo Nation land) and US Route 191 in Utah. This was by far the most beautiful drive of our entire 2 week trip and took us through Monument Valley and the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park.
Trip Start: Flagstaff, Arizona
Trip Finish: Moab, Utah

Day 6 of our road trip through the southeastern USA took us to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Here’s a look at some of the beautiful views around the Grand Canyon South Rim. Most of these picturesque sights are from the area around Mather Point, The Visitor Center Complex, Bright Angel Lodge, El Tovar Hotel, Thunderbird Lodge, and Kolb Studio.
The first day of our trip out west was spent driving, so the only real photographic highlight is some slowly cooked meat from the Memphis BBQ Company in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
