On Day 11 of our road trip across the USA we drove to the summit of Pikes Peak. Here is a time lapse (1 photo/sec) of the 19 mile drive from Highway 24 all the way to the top of Pike’s Peak, Colorado. These videos were recorded a couple of days prior to the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb automobile race, also known as The Race to the Clouds, so you’ll notice the preparations taking place while we are driving.

The first video is a time lapse drive to the summit. The second is a walk around the summit of Pike’s Peak. The third is a complete drive from the summit to the bottom.
